Eh oui, Microsoft va vendre son système d'exploitation par instance, et
non pour pouvoir l'installer sur un seul processeur.

Ils se sont rendu compte que les compagnies utilisaient des OS virtuels et
roulaient plus d'une instance de Windows par machine tout en ne payant
qu'une seule licence, tout en étant légal.

La nouvelle licence va pouvoir permettre de transférer un licence d'une
machine à une autre, ce qui était impossible semble-t-il. Mais surtout de
récupérer de l'argent que les compagnies sauveront sur le hardware en
procédédant de cette manière.

Rien de nouveau, IBM fait probablement déjà ça sur ça série z. Sun a
souvent des license par CPU. Ainsi que les grands des BD tel qu'Oracle.

MS veut charger par instance du logiciel, pas par CPU.
MS charge déjà par CPU.

Je me suis mal exprimé, je voulais dire par instance.

De l'article de Ars Technica, la nouvelle license est mieux (et coûtera
moins) que l'ancienne license car aujourd'hui si tu roules deux
instances de Windows sur une machine, il te faut 2 licenses de Windows:

Ceci étant dit, je préfère la license de Slackware, ou encore Gentoo.
